For a cheap hot oil treatment buy some coconut oil, warm pot in warm water so it turns to liquid and apply to damp hair. Wrap hair in cling-film/warm towel and leave on for as long as you can. Overnight if possible. Wash out in the morning and it will look a lot better.

If not you can do what we used to do at the salon I worked at, buy Henna wax and apply to damp hair, again covering in film or a towel and heating. I still do this once a month and it helps with chemical damage quite well.

You can also use a shine serum such as Gum's one or the Boots expert serum to give your hair shine. Umberto Gianni also does a product that last time I bought it was called Shine, Shine, gloss and refresh spray (names have probably changed by now). It's about £5 and comes in a pasteel yellow can, it's very light, makes your hair smell lovely and gives you a nice sheen to the hair - applied with care you can get that mirror like sheen they have on the tv adverts.
