Comets online are selling the latest Panasonic camera (Lumix DMC-FZ7) for £259.20 delivered. This is around £34 cheaper than most other places I can find (eg Pixmania price is £292.90 delivered). The saving could buy you an 512Mb SD card (essential as the supplied card is only 16 Mb), camera case and spare battery.
The camera has a 12x optical zoom Leica lens, with image stabilisation, and a 6Mp sensor. The camera would be particulary useful for sports and nature photography, but would also be very good for general use.
The camera is an upgrade from the excellent FZ5, and was released in the UK earlier this month. I own the even older FZ3 camera, and I am very pleased with it. I have ordered an FZ7 to replace it.

I get the feeling that Dixons shops are in freefall, a local one I know got replaced by an HMV. More info in the financial pages I expect.0
