I have not been in the debt free mentality at all this month
Just checked my monthly statement and I have been sooooo bad:
Starbucks: £13.87
lunches when I couldn't be bothered to make it £18.41
Tube journeys when too lazy to walk: £20.00
Thats an extra £52.28 that I could have put into my debt fund.
I didn't go overdrawn or anything, but still- an extra £52 a month would all go towards becoming Debt Free!
Help! I need some motivation not to spend money like the above in June......

The sun has got his hat on, so there should be no excuse to go on the tube - think of all the lovely sunshine you will miss if you do. - Remember its not around for long so you have to make the most of it when its around.

We all need a bit of indulgence. Its hard to be good all the time. I would cut out the tube journeys, next month and walk. You would feel you'd earned your Starbucks, and lunches. £20 saved is better than nothing. :A0

Don't do it again!
Well it might be £50 wasted but better than £500 and now you feel bad about it, it will remind you not to do it again!A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Speaking as somebody who has never been IN a Starbucks ... what on earth can you buy that costs £13.87??? For that I could eat out at lunchtime, sitting down, probably 3x!!0

:rotfl:If you went into Starbuck you would quickly understand how easy it is to spend £13.87 and more

Milkshakes with my dd on Tuesday (not in Starbuck though): £3.75 x 2 :eek::eek: but she is worth it

well its good that you checked your statements and added all that up too and seen where the problems are - i can still go into denial sometimes and just dont look!!!! maybe set some money aside for a treat say £20 - then when your in starbucks you will have to really want it to spend your treat money on it!!

Cmon you can do it, have you tried the free spending diary online?

This really highlights problem areas and stops me spending anything not needed!
Good luck!0
