I was thinking of buying a yogurt maker.
Is it money saving? If so which is the best one to get?

I'm getting an Easiyo at the end of the month with the savings I've been making:

You can make it with mixes or you can make it yourself from milk and a bit of starter - a search will produce many recipes.
A lot of people have these and seem to love it!0 -
Hi,
Yes, I also have an Easiyo, and it is excellent. If you don't have a Lakeland near you, Julian Graves usually has them too.
It is worth getting one sachet of the proper mix for the first time (Greek is the best to my taste, but often in short supply). Then keep a bit (couple of soupspoons) from that batch and use it to start another made with UHT milk (I use full fat), straight from the carton, shaken with about 1/3rd cup of milk powder. You can also use a bought carton of *live* yoghurt and use some as a starter
Works for me.
Hope you get on with it as well as I do.

After using a car boot purchase for a year (Bel 6 Glass version) I have just been bought the £19.99 electric yoghurt maker by OH, plus a spare internal container so that I can make a second batch whilst one is still in the fridge
Hope the link works:

I make mine with 1 litre of semi skimmed UHT milk, 2 tablespoons of skimmed milk powder and 2 tablespoons of live yoghurt to start (I use the plain greek yoghurt from ASDA for the first batch and then simply remove 2 tablespoons from my own batches from then forward). Simply whisk it all together (no heating required), put into the yoghurt maker and 8 hours later I have lovely yoghurt.
Yesterday I made a litre, and then I made a second litre overnight. The first batch I strained though a sieve lined with muslin and had a lovely thick creamy greek style yoghurt served with honey for lunch. I have another batch in the yoghurt maker now. So have made 3 litres this weekend.
I have plain yoghurt on my breakfast everyday and other half likes plain yoghurt as a desert.Enjoying an MSE OS life0
