Well after waiting for about a year, Tchibo are finally selling once again their waffle makers for the sum of £12.99 - yes Ladies that is right £12.99.

I read on here someone saying they had one and I was kicking myself for not getting it before when I saw it, as most of them cost triple that amount if not more.

The best bit was I was going to wait until they came into our local shop - think they go on sale next week, but this morning I was sent a voucher for free delivery, so what could I do??? I had to buy it - but whether I use it is another matter!!!!

Their website is https://www.tchibo.co.uk and I have signed up for their newsletter. I absolutely love that shop.....there are very few gadgets now that I have not purchased :)

I've been wondering if I 'need' one of these for a while! Maybe I'll hot foot down to the town next week and check it out. I'm sure I'll find somewhere to keep it. I think it would come in handy for those non OS times when the Chinese Takeaway is the only answer!

not hard to make - if the waffle maker is like my Mums you turn it on, put a little oil/fat in and then pour enough waffle mixture in, put the lid down wait a few minutes (feels like an age) and then open it up lift out waffle onto plate, drown in syrup or honey or cream or anything else you want and voila!!!

duh! as for the waffle mixture, I'm sure my Mums was like pancake mixture with either self raising flour or baking powder added. I can check though I'm sure there must be a waffle receipe here somewhere, but very easy.

I have one (mine only cost £7 in Superdrug though so I think £12 is expensive!) I love it, makes fab waffles & dead easy to clean, only problem is it takes so damn long & who has that amount of time to spare in the morning? Even for lazy weekend breakfasts, by the time they are done you are starving & have eaten half a packet of biscuits. Saying that, I wouldn't be without it, even if I don't use it very often!
