    ‘The Heart Wedding’ COMPETITION RULES AND GUIDELINES
    Definitions:
    Global Radio hereinafter referred to as "the Company"
    "Global Radio" means Global Radio UK and any company which is a subsidiary or holding company.
    Heart 100.7 hereinafter referred to as "the Radio Station"
    Unless otherwise acknowledged, these rules apply to all competitions broadcast or operated by the Company varied only as circumstances may require. Rules pertaining to certain off-air promotions may only appear on the specific literature - e.g. game cards or newspapers and leaflets.
    Participation instructions form part of these rules.
    All entrants must agree to abide by these rules. The submission of an entry shall be deemed to indicate acceptance of these rules.
    1.1 The Heart Wedding General Terms
    - Prize only eligible for people living in the Heart 100.7 TSA (West Midlands), detailed below:

    - Prize is a civil ceremony at Warwick Castle prize details in section 1.2
    - The Heart Wedding Venue: Warwick Castle
    - Date of the Heart Wedding: Friday 19th June 2009
    - Attendance figures for the Heart Wedding are as follows - 80 guests plus 8 representatives of the radio station and 2 registrars’ in total.
    - Whilst liaising with the winning couple, the Radio Station will retain control of wedding arrangements, including the wedding reception, entertainment, clothing, flowers and all other similar arrangements.
    - By entering the eventual winner gives consent to participate in any media activity arranged by the Radio Station relating to the Heart Wedding.
    - The 80 guests at the wedding and the reception will be guests of the Radio Station and Warwick Castle.
    - Entrants proceeding to the second round (50 couples) randomly selected to the next stage of the competition will be notified after each day of entry.
    - The competition is not open to employees or members of their immediate families (including spouse, parents, grandparents, children, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins and remoter issue and in any event the decision of the Company shall be final) of the Company, the Radio Station and Global Radio, their agents, participating clients or anyone connected with the promotion of the competition or event and again in the event of any dispute the decision of the Company shall be final and legally binding.
    - The Company cannot be held responsible for any difficulty in communication with the Radio Station by telephone or other means.
    - All entries become the property of the Company and unless otherwise agreed, cannot be returned.
    - Entrants agree to their name and home town being published on the air and elsewhere. They agree to their participation being broadcast, recorded and repeated and otherwise used without being entitled to any payment.
    - Subject to the Company deciding otherwise only the stated prize(s) may be won. There will not be a cash alternative to the stated prize(s).
    - In the event of any of the stated prizes becoming unavailable, the Company will, where appropriate, arrange the supply of an appropriate alternative of similar value at the Company's sole discretion.
    - A prize will not be awarded to a person who, for any reason, would not be allowed by law to purchase or use the prize where the supply to that person would be unlawful.
    - The decision of the Company is final. No correspondence will be entered into concerning the Company's decisions or interpretation of these rules.
    - Complaints about the operation of the competition may be made in writing to the Programme Controller and Station Director.
    - The Company reserves the right to reject claims or applications and to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion without prior notice.
    - Subject to the complete discretion of the company, the winning entry and the names and countries of the (major) prize winners will be made available after a specified date to anyone applying for this to the competition address and enclosing a stamped addressed envelope marked ‘Results’.
    - By entering this competition you will receive a one off newsletter with information from all of the wedding suppliers.
    1.2 Competition Prize Terms
    The Heart Wedding competition is for one couple.
    - Warwick Castle will be the host wedding ceremony and reception venue on Friday 19th June 2009 for up to 80 guest and 8 representatives from the radio station and 2 registrar’s which will include
    1. Wedding ceremony
    2. Wedding Breakfast Reception
    3. Sparkling wine reception
    4. three course meal complete with wine (half a bottle of wine per person)
    5. Tables, Chairs, Crockery, Cutlery, glassware and table linen.
    6. Table plan.
    7. Fully staffed event
    8. Suitable electrical supply for the event entertainment
    A meeting between the winning couple the radio station and Warwick Castle will be arranged at a date that is convenient to all parties involved to discuss all logistics for the day.
    - One Wedding Dress.
    - Two Bridesmaids dresses.
    Both wedding and bridesmaid’s dresses up to a value to be confirmed and will be provided by our chosen supplier size and style are subject to further discussion with the radio station and the dress provider.
    - Men’s suits to be supplied by Richard Paul Menswear suits included will be:
    One Groom suit
    One Best man suit
    Exact suit style subject to further discussion with the winning couple, the radio station and the suit supplier.
    The florist provider will provide the following
    Flowers for the top table.
    Bride’s bouquet.
    Bridesmaid’s bouquets x 2.
    Buttonholes for 10 people
    All flowers up to a value to be confirmed and provided by our chosen supplier. Exact style also up for discussion with the winning couple, radio station and florist.
    - Cake supplied by Shuga Budz which will be one 3 tier wedding cake and delivered to Warwick Castle with a value of £350. Exact design subject to further discussion with the winning couple, the radio station and the cake supplier.
    - Photography provided by “Your Big Day” which will include a wedding photographer throughout the day of Friday 19th June 2009 at Warwick Castle.
    1. A full wedding album for the couple from their wedding on Friday 19th June 2009.
    - Live Entertainment will be supplied by Alive Network this will include.
    one live band to play at the reception (band subject to further discussion with Heart)

    A 2 week holiday to Western Australia from Flight Centre, the Australian experts, supplied by Western Australian tourism board to the value of £5000 and will provide:
    1. Flights for one couple (two people) for two weeks including a return flight
    2. Hotel accommodation for two people
    Date restrictions apply, exact details to be confirmed.
    Cars to be supplied, including one executive car to transport the bridal party from their home to Warwick Castle (exact car and supplier to be confirmed)
    - “Zoom” teeth whitening treatments for two, to the value of £500 per person. Teeth whitening treatment will be from Central Ortho
    1. The prize is strictly subject to suitable dental hygiene of the wedding couple and subject to a final dental inspection before hand to ascertain suitability for this service
    - Two wedding bands up to a maximum value of £500 (for both) from Rex Johnson Jewellers.
    - Makeup to be supplied by Burnett’s make up design to a value of £170 and will include
    One bride
    Two bridesmaids
    Trial makeup session one week prior to wedding.
    - Hair cuts and styling for the wedding party from Saints Salon “hair stylists” to the value of £500 total
    1. Hair cuts and styling will be for a maximum of 6 people breakdown below
    - Bride
    - Groom
    - Best Man
    - Bridesmaids x 2
    - Mother of the bride
    - Father of the bride
    All items listed above will be supplied as stated. If you wish to make additions to any of these items this can be arranged with a cost to you and not the radio station.
    1.3 Selection Process
    - Over the period of 11th – 22nd May 2009 listeners will be invited to sign up at heart.co.uk.
    1. To sign up for this competition you must become a Heart VIP member of the website to enter.
    2. Five entries will be selected at random each day at 5pm.
    3. All people picked will be checked against the terms and conditions set out in section 1.1.
    4. Listeners are invited to re enter if unsuccessful.
    5. The draw will take place weekdays only from 11th May until Friday 22nd May 2009. This means that while you may enter the contest over the weekend, we will not select anyone to go forward to the next stage until 5pm on the following Monday.
    - At the end of round 1 the competition will have 50 couples remaining – all of whom will have been randomly selected.
    1. The 50 selected couples will be sent an application form to fill out; the entry form will have specific questions.
    2. From the application form 10 couples will be shortlisted and invited into the radio station for an audition.
    3. Narrowing contestants from 50 to 10 will be decided by a judging panel and based upon specific criteria. The Judges’ decision is final. The judging panel will be made up from representatives from the radio station.
    - From the ten couples who reach the audition process - three couples will be selected as our finalists.
    1. The 10 couples will be interviewed by a judging panel on specific categories set out in the application pack and narrowed down accordingly. The Judges’ decision is final. The judging panel will be made up from representatives from the radio station and may include a third party member.
    - The three couples who will be chosen as our finalists will be brought on to the radio station’s breakfast show week commencing 1st June 2009.
    - On-air, the finalists will be set wedding-based tasks which will need to be completed each day by 4.45pm.
    1. Monday 1st June 2009 - Task 1 which will begin at 9am
    2. Tuesday 2nd June 2009 - Task 2 which will begin at 9am
    3. - - - One couple will be eliminated by the public vote - - -
    4. Wednesday 3rd June 2009 - Task 3 which will begin at 9am
    - Throughout the week, listeners will be invited to vote online at heart.co.uk.
    1. Voting will be held online only and will be open from 9am Monday 1st June 2009. The online poll will close on Tuesday 2nd June 4.45pm.
    2. All votes from the two days will be counted up with one couple being eliminated narrowing the competition down to two final couples.
    - On Wednesday the remaining two couples based on the couple with the least amount of votes.
    1. The online poll will re-open 9am Wednesday 3rd June 2009. The online poll will then close 4.45pm Thursday 4th June 2009.
    - The winner out of the two finalists will be announced Friday 5th June 2009 on the Radio station’s breakfast show.
