Hi, I need to find a ink-jet printer under £30 (deliverd) and uses cheap ink cartridges.. any ideas ?

its for a single mum of 3 who hasn't got a lot of spare cash and it will only need to print off the kids homework.

    Sorry to say but cheap printer=expensive cartridges, expensive printers = cheaper cartridges. Have you had a look round on ebay for a bargain, or in local shop windows etc. You can always get cartridges refilled at places like cartridge world. Refilled cartridges are not as good quality as originals, but I am sure would be suitable for your requirements. Plus if you get them from a reputable refiller then they are guaranteed.

    lexmark Z735 £24-99 delivered from pcworld or local dixons
    Only takes one cartridge and can buy generic online for £11 (£14-99 in dixons)

    At this price level you'll be lucky to find a printer the ISN'T Lexmark. I personally wouldn't touch Lexmark with a bargepole as even the cheaper cartridges are a complete rip off. Best deal I could find was this:

    I have to say though, I would personally go for this one. Ok its a little over budget, but for under £37 delivered (supersaver delivery) you could get a brand new printer with 12 months warranty:
