My home gym

Over the last few years i have bought loads of things for home gym.

Some have been a complete waste of time, some i have hung clothes on, some have kept my interest for up to a few weeks. I have recently fallen off the exercise wagon and been eating things i have eaten for years, so needed something to spur me on to be interested in exercise once again.

I bought a couple of things and within two weeks I feel motivated, my arms feel more toned than they have in a long time - might even wear short sleeves this year.

1. Bought a pedometer (approx 15.00pounds), then used to walk at least 10000 steps a day, even if it meant running on the spot in front of the tv. This eventually made my legs (unsurprisngly) sore, my feet ached like crazy.

2. Bought a mini trampoline (approx 25.00pounds), i dont get the leg, foot pain that i used to and it is so much fun, it works my legs, butt, helps with stamina.

3. Just bought a NSD powerball (the one with the counter on top approx 17.00pounds). This works my arms, they feel worked - but not tired. I never think of it as exercise, its more of a competition between me and my hubbie. For a small bird, I can get a higher score (9000) than my much larger hubbie. My hands, fingers and wrists do feel as if they have worked, but nothing that would stop me from powerballing.

I love these three pieces of equipment, I am probably very wrong but i feel like i get an all over workout and it cost me a lot less than my ski machine, weights, bench, dvds, reebok step, bike, etc., etc.

Two good things about the three pieces of equipment is that two of them are completely portable. I wouldnt be without my pedometer, i have worn it as soon as i get out of bed and until i go back to bed at night for the past 12 months at least.

I dont know if this post serves any purpose but it might be of interest to someone out there looking for an slightly different way of exercising.
