How is a tooth fitted?

I think I've decided to have my tooth out (root canal treatment not being done, & being passed from pillar to post).
3 times I've been refered on and each time paid the £16.50 fee to the same PCT, I think that's a bit of a con.
Anyhow, I already have a tooth missing, upper back top, from about 7yrs ago and have missed it so much, was never given advice on replacing it.
Now if I have this one out it'll be the one below my absent one.
I'm thinking of having 2 new teeth fitted in Bulgaria, where I spend the summer months and feel silly to ask but .................................. How do they 'fit' them in?
Are they screwed in? Do they come out at night? Glued in? Drilled to adjoining teeth? All or none of above?
Is there a 'better' way to have it done?
A friend has had his done already out there, but he lives there full time and hasn't answered my emails as yet to this question.
Any advice on what is actually done much appreciated.
LL

Why are you going to Bulgaria to get treatment that you know nothing about?

What has your Dentist said here?

There are so many options for replacement teeth - but it depends on your oral health as to what you would be advised to have. A NHS dentist is going to offer a plate or at best a bridge. A plate is a tooth thats on a plate and comes out at night. A bridge is where a the teeth on either side of the gap are used to cement a bridge holding a tooth too. This is permanent and involved having the teeth holding the bridge filed down.

Implants are only available privately and this is perhaps what you are thinking about having in Bulgaria? This is where a tooth is screwed into the jaw so its permanent ( well as long as it lasts its permanent)

Now if you have been walking around 7 years without doing anything about a missing tooth you may not be the ideal candidate for an implant, the bone could have receded too much now for it to be really viable. Its best to be guided by your uk Dentist, after all popping back and forth to Bulgaria if theres a problem really isnt going to be saving yourself any money

I live part time in Bulgaria and most dentists are German trained.
I've already had treatment there (emergency) and was treated much better than here, for a fraction of the cost AND more importantly, seen straight away.
My dentists (all 3 so far) have all said different things, left me in pain and I still have no idea when my next appointment will be.
Was told its an emergency and should be seen in the next 6 to 8weeks!!
Even told this week to see Dr. which I did yesterday, to get antibiotics for standby becasue it'll probably flare up worse over Easter!
That can't be normal procedure? My Dr. didn't bat an eyelid and gave me the tabs.
So I am just working out my options, especially as I'll be there anyway and can't seem to get seen here.
I have the same doubts about visiting a dentist here or there, no less confidence in either. But I was treated better there.
Do you think the dentists in Bulgaria are any less capable of doing the job than here?
I will go to one I've been to before was treated well and is used by ex-pats.
Because I am afraid anyway of going to the dentist and none of them have had time to deal with me, let alone answer my questions, I wanted to know what is done to a tooth and how it stays put.
    Thanks for your reply.
