To be honest that site looks like a bit of a scam. I've used applausestore before now and they've never charged me and i've been to some good recordings with them:

I can vouch for benscreen not being a scam.
I applied for a variety of TV shows and got accepted and appeared on BBC 1 daytime TV!!!0
