Default Asda - Triple Velvet toilet rolls 16 pack - £3

Hi, This is my first time posting a Grabbit thread but just thought I would let everyone know that my local Asda in Luton are selling the Triple Velvet 16 pack toilet rolls for £3....

Not sure if this is nationwide but I spoke to an SA and they said that they had 20 pallets in yesterday and have already sold 14!! Not sure if they will be getting any more but you need to get there quick cause they are selling like hotcakes!!!

Sorry if it has already been mentioned....

Official MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

It's not just in Luton, this is a special 16-roll pack not normally available in Asda. The offer's while stocks last and once it's gone Asda will just stock packs of 4 at £2.02 or 9 at £4.50. If this stock's all gone by the time you're reading this or you prefer a different brand, Somerfield's selling 9-roll packs of Charmin for £2.50 until Tues 7 April.

If you spot any cheaper offers please click reply to let other MoneySavers know. Many thanks to jemclajess for the top spot!

Yes, I know that - I was just letting MSE'rs know if they can't get to an ASDA, or if stock has already gone there.

jemclajess,

Many thanks for your post, this is much appreciated...

I know it is hard posting on these forums as there are so many bargains to be spotted and it is hard to tell if they have already been posted or indeed if they are actually a bargain to everybody

One of the reasons I love this forum so much is the fact that not only do you get notification of bargains but you also get other peoples reviews of the bargains, which enables you to decide if it is right for you

Unfortunately, sometimes it seems that people are shooting at you when you have stood up with an idea but that isn't really the case...keep with it and just keep in mind that some people are a bit too trigger happy with things

The shops where I live in the West Midlands won't take internet printed coupons.

I've been to Gloucester ASDA this morning and they've got quite a bit - but a warning - it is limited to 3 packs per customer (although that's not stated anywhere - they expect you to know!!) I got packs for my parents, my brother and my sister (who's just been made redundant, I thought it would help!!!) and the cashier let me have them, but did say that she shouldn't....!

Good value when the Asda velvet stuff is £4 for 12 rolls....

Thanks OP - a bargain that was still in stock when I got to the shop!!!

Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

In that case I would insist on speaking to the store manager and then depending on the outcome of that conversation head office.

That's a pretty good offer at 19p a roll - I try to buy toilet paper on special offer all the time and aim not to spend more than 25p per roll. It doesn't always work though!!

One thing I have noticed when buying Triple Velvet is that it doesn't last anywhere near as long as most other toilet rolls - I don't know whether there are less sheets on a roll, but it seems to run out so quickly in our house.

My last one was Somerfield own-brand at £2.20 for 9 rolls - I got 3 packets of those but probably should have picked up more as I always seem to run out of the special offers just before a new offer comes up...

Can't do the Asda offer as I don't live nearby and I'm still not sure whether I would end up saving money anyway as it goes so quickly.

Hopefully no one will take this the wrong way. I saw a few pallets of these in local Asda and agree that the price is very appealing. People do need to be warned that if you are, like me Mr Average you may find that using this stuff could only be likened to wiping you rump on a cushion.

Default Triple Velvet Toilet Rolls

Morrisons in Scotland (Alloa) are selling 18 rolls for £6.00.
Not as cheap as South England but for this area--lowest price seen so far.

Asda at Wembley were shifting pallets of this stuff every 15 minutes - once a couple of people picked up trolley loads (again 3 per customer but not written anywhere - some people had an argument over this) they started shifting like there's no tomorrow...

...truly amazing deal! And thanks to the OP!
