29" Pure Flat TV at Asda £129

Asda are selling a 29" pure flat widescreen TV for only £129.97, not the best of looking tellies but not bad for the price, does look rather cheap but again for the price it aint bad. Made by a company called Baier I think on something like this, only seen instore arrived today, and they looked like they were selling fast.

Hope this helps someone.

Edited: The post has been edited as it is clearly not a widescreen, and the actual screen size is 27".

Advertised in the National Press today - didn't say widescreen in the ad.

made by Baier IIRC. Dont think it was widescreen either. 29" is a odd size eh?

  • Sorry I thought it was widescreen, I only had a quick look as I walked in, but there seemed to be a few in people's trolleys. Yes 29" is a strange size but still good value for money I think.
Not as good as my tv and video/dvd set I bought on LXDirect thanks to my friends on here.

Definately not widescreen - I did a double take when I saw the price in store the other night - it was almost an impulse buy until I got closer and saw that it's an older style square effort.

Sold loads today, they are 29", will await returns on them with interest :)
  • 4:3 TVs are still of use to many people and the picture quality of CRT sets is usually far better than LCD or plasma.

4:3 is great for playing most video games, watching foreign satellite and most people's camcorder footage is still that ratio.
