Samsung SM970P 19" TFT £199.95

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Samsung_SM970P_19_Inch_TFT_LS19VDPXHQ/version.asp

It normally retails at just over £300. Arguably the best 19" general-use tft around, especially at that price. Highly reviewed, 178 degree viewing angle (it's one of the new P-MVA screens), and a 6-8ms response, good contrast too. Worth having a look at if you're buying a new monitor or upgrade.

It's £249.95 using the link you gave... any ideas how to get it for £199.95?

Oops yeah I know. Was getting muddled and put in another model by accident (been reading too much). Must have corrected it as you were posting.

Ah mine must have been cached. Was £199 literally 20 minutes ago as I've ordered one. Ah well.

Shame - I am on the lookout for a second monitor and it would have gone well with my existing Samsung. Still looks reasonable for £250 but when you know it was £199.95......

It's still around £70 or so cheaper than you'll find anywhere else. Savastore for example have it for £320.

You can still see the old price here:

    Tis where I found it.

I wasn't planning to spend that much on a second monitor but I rang them up and asked if I could get the £199.95 price. They agreed to meet me half way so £225 + £5 delivery. I have the 17" Samsung 173P which is a very nice monitor - similar - rotating screen and height adjustment. Also guaranteed no dead pixels (I am paranoid about dead/bright pixels) I think. So my 17" will now be made my 2nd screen. Thanks!

Got mine today, took 1 day to deliver. Fantastic service. The screen is quite amazing, wish I'd ordered a second one to replace a 17" tft on one of the other computers. A worthy investment.

Same here wolfman - got mine yesterday. Definitely worth the extra money over a standard 19" TFT (which normally only has analogue input). Goes really well with my 17" Samsung 173P too. Shame it was moved to Shop But Don't Drop as if people could get it for £225 + £5 postage like I did by ringing them up I still think it is a bargain... tempting even at £250.
