Panic attacks

My sister is in her 40s and just recently been experiencing sudden panic attacks . The most recent time was when she was on board and aircraft and felt that she was struggling for air. She also gets them at night time. I have told her to see the Doc , but I just wonder if anyone else has suffered and what they did . Thanks

this woman has her own help web site (I'm sure there was an article about her in yesterdays Daily Mail )

Hi, I've Made This Website To Try To Help Other People With Panic Attacks.
I Suffered Panic Attacks Myself For 3 Years, So I Know What You're Going Through.
I Am Recovering Well And So Can You.
"Many People With Anxiety Problems Never Seek Advice, Fearing That Their Doctors Might Be Unsympathetic Or, Worse, That They May Be Referred To A Psychiatric Hospital And Labelled Mentally Ill. They Prefer To Suffer In Silence, Ignorant Of Other Alternatives And Reluctant To Seek Professional Help."

A good hypnotherapist would be able to help panic attacks.
If you need any help finding a hypnotherapist pm me happy to help.

I have suffered with panic attacks for about 2 years now, glad to say, I am over the worst now, thanks to advice on different websites, and very good and understanding friends, the only thing I wouldn't recommend are anti-depressants, they are very bad for you and i think they only have a placebo effect.
Some websites have forums and chat where she can talk to people experiencing the same problems as herself. Its always good to talk
Hope she gets better soonWith Love From The Mistress xx

Hiya, i had really severed panic attacks for a bout a year before i sought any help
i didnt even really know what they were, just knew it wasnt right and i was becoming depressed.
Basically, when she has a panic attack, what helped me was to close my eyes and take deep breaths, i know thats REALLY hard when your mid panic, but for some reason, it really calmed me down.
She needs to see her GP, really does, theres so much help out there, i ended up on medication because they were so severe, but she may not need this so dont worry.:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0
