JSA and death in family

Hello, I am posting on behalf of my husband who due to circumstances cannot right now. Back in Novemeber of last year my husband was made redundant and although applying for jobs he is not having much luck right now.
Now his mother is extremely sick and in hospital and not expected to last much longer, what I was wondering is he supposed to be looking for a job when he is needing to be with his family because as of right now all time is spent at hospital. I don't want him to worry about it all and if there was anyone I need to call or really just want to know what the circumstances are during this time in regards to jsa. I'm sorry if this all sounds a bit jumbled, it's not looking good for his mother and it just makes it harder knowing we are losing her. Thank you

How about income support (get his GP to sign him off with stress) and/or carer's allowance? HTH!!0

All the best, little_evo.
Income Support would probably be the best thing at the moment.0
