I wanna buy annual contact lenses

Hi Guys,
My OH needs new annual soft contact lenses, i.e., you use them for a year (or two in his case!), taking them out at night. He doesn't want dailies, monthlies or extended wear.
Unfortunately, it seems opticians make so much more money with the throw away lenses they're very reluctant to sell the annual ones anymore.
Does anyone know where we can still get these? Last pair were from 20/20 Optical Store but I don't think they sell them anymore.
Thanks for any info.

ps. Already had a look at Martin's report and the associated discussion thread but they aren't mentioned there.

Hi. i wear yearly contact lenses (coloured) for £130. I got them from Dollond & Aitchison. I dont know if they can do them anymore....they have given me an exception as i have been with them for 10 years or so but nevertheless, no harm in trying. Good Luck0

Thanks for that info. Hubby bought his last pair for £55 at 20/20 Optical Store. Does anyone get them for a better price than Dolland's?
Thanks,

Hi RoCas,
As you have said this thread is more suited to the health board, so I'll move it over there so that the two can be merged.
