Hi i use nice and easy hair dye and seem to waste lots of it as only really need the roots doing tbh but love the colour and effect it gives my hair so do all of it! Is there a way to use half and keep half, worried i will measure the worng amount out and ruin my hair. Thanks

My mom used to have the same problem! What she did was buy a hair dye brush from the body shop (like the type used in hair salons), then in a small dish mix half of the hair dye from the tube and bottle and use the brush to apply to the roots. Store the other half in the bottles/tube they come in. She used to dye her hair every 6 weeks so it stores ok for at least that long.
HTHSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
I only have a small patch of grey at the front that I cover up.
Both the tube and bottle in the pack have the same amount in them, so what I do is take a teaspoonful (NOT a metal spoon, a plastic measuring spoon) of the colourant and a teaspoonful of the mixer and mix it together on an old saucer and apply with my fingers.
Been doing this for ages and not suffered any odd side effects. A pack of dye lasts me ages that way.0 -
Ah thanks for this didnt look at the measurements just thought one had more, can i ask a silly question..why NOT a metal spoon does it do something to the dye? prob missing something obvious but still curious!!

I was told it years ago, something to do with a chemical reaction. Dunno the truth in it but I'd much rather not take the chance!0
