I just had a similar phonecall and thanks to your advanced warning was able to get rid of them pretty quickly (and not get my hopes up that it was a proper win) Looks like a few people will be getting this call....

I received this phone call a couple of hours ago, I said 'no thanks' and have been wondering if I did the right thing ever since as I really need a holiday (haven't been anywhere in 6 years!) Reading this has confirmed I did - thanks for putting my mind at rest!
Looks as though quite a few of us will get this call, to be fair to the man he took 'no' well and didn't hassle me.
Back to comping for me, and hoping for a proper holiday win soon :rolleyes:0 -
there is another thread on here about this and it is actually genuine, it was on the terms and conditions that the winner got the prize and 100 runner sup got a half price holiday, i will try to find it.would love to win an ipad!

I also got the phonecall today, I have looked into it and it seems 'ok'. If you want to pay £250 for up to 4 people to stay at this resort I think its a pretty good deal. We're considering it as there was absolutely no pressure to book it. She gave me her number to call her back when i'd decided.
I've looked at the place and it is up to £1000 to stay for 7 nights so £250 for 4 people is a great discount (75% discount if my maths is correct). My only niggle is that she emphasised several times that its 5* but from my research its definitely only 4* (i wish they would be honest :rolleyes:)
Anyway we're considering it as we need a holiday and might go for it, but I'm going to research some more first. I have done a bit of digging and found
tried looking up the numbers to try and ascertain where they are calling from without any luck,
tried to dial the numbers and received the message "the number you have dialled has not been recognised"
how do we know they are who they say they are they could be anyone
also because they ask for immediate payment by debit or credit card this makes me even more suspicious
when i received the call from the 034952577914 number I said that I would like to know more details before deciding she told me to go to www.atlanticclub.marbella.co.uk the site looks very unproffessional (more suspicions)
also if you Google marbella.co.uk everything seems to be linked to apartments and apartment rentals and sales
Also I was told that the winner was posted online howether there is no mention of the winner at http://www.uk.zoneromantica.tv/ (more suspicions)
caller said they would phone back on monday evening
I will ask for the deal in writing and see what she say's
my conclusions maybe timeshare in disguise or maybe a scam and I personally wouldn't touch it with a bargepole!! :rolleyes:0
