are you still looking for a sofa? thought you'd have bought one by now!!!!!!!
  • Hi Smiley, just bought a sofa from them we were told the backs came off the 3 seater but they never did so had failed delivery at £50 cost to me this apparently is not uncommon mis information so watch out.
  • Hi I bought a suite from them and 1day after the guarentee ran out I discovered nearly all the seems were coming apart, (and there was nothing they could do)it seems they stretched the leather too tight. Two of the seat cushions you sit on you can feel the springs starting too push through. In my opinion your are just about to waste your money. My brother had major problems with his suite ,seems too happen about the 18months mark. Surely you can expect a leather suite to last longer. I would Never advise anyone to buy from them.
  • Just to redress the balance, we bought a 2 seater and 3 seater from them about 7 months ago. Deleivery was very quick (stock item I guess), and sofa (geddit!) very impressed.
No signs of seams coming undone, no sagging or wearing.
However, ask me again in a year and it may be different.
When we bought it, we were looking to spend upto £3000. But this all came in at £800 so the way I see it, is if after a couple of years, its looking tatty, I can buy a new one and still have enough for a 3rd one a few years later.
Buying expensive 'last a lifetime' suites means you are reluctant to change in the future, and its quite nice to change styles a colours every once in a while.
Thumbs up sofa (sorry, must stop that) from me.

I haven't bought from Land of Leather but can got ours from Sofa Sofa about 4 years ago. I would recommend them as it's still in great condition and I haven't bothered with all the special cleaners or anything else.

They offered free delivery and if we weren't happy with it we could return it and get our money back. I think they only have showrooms in Cardiff and Birmingham but they do mail order (which is what we did). :)

Ours ripped along the back on a corner seam, they sent a technician to have a look and they said that it had been caused by misuse . The rip started out quite small but has travelled because the crappy leather has been pulled too tight.

So I now have a £1200 leather sofa with a rip that's over a foot long, unable to be stitched as the leather is like cardboard and they're taking no responsibility.

    Avoid, avoid avoid!

That sucks JJ. Can you get a bunch of mates to take it back on a busy Saturday, Position it outside the doors with a big sign saying "Piece Of !!!!!!" and all sit on it?

A bit of direction action may be needed for your cash to be returned. I'll come and help!

    Lol.. thanks :D

My Mum has offered to go to the shop on my behalf (manic red-head with a TEMPER!! :D) But as it's been two years since we bought it I can't imagine that they'd do anything now :undecided

It was the first sofa I've ever bought too, all the others have been begged, borrowed or donated... they all lasted longer than the twelve hundred quid one  I've learnt my lesson!
