I'm so confused about skin regime!

Hello :hello:
Hope someone can help. I suffer from bad spots around TOTM but I think alot of it is to do with me not having a proper skin cleaning routine.
I have Exfoliating scrub, which I use every 2/3days or so, and I tend to stick to the SIMPLE products as I find them cheap and good quality.
So basically, I have exfoliating scrub, facial wash, toner, cleanser and then moisturiser......
What order do I use them in!!?:o

You don't need to use scrub, wash and cleanser on the same day. On a normal day, you should use:
Cleanser (whether you prefer a wash or cream is up to you)
Toner
Moisturiser (eyes and face)
2-3 times a week, you can exfoliate too, so I would do:
Cleanser
Scrub
Toner
Moisturiser
HTH a little

So is cleanser just like facial wash? Or is it slightly different?0

Yes, cleanser is along the same 'lines' as face wash. It depends on your personal preference really. I prefer washes to traditional 'cleansers' as I think that using water makes my skin feel cleaner, and feel like cleansers leave a 'film' on. Also, most toners are !!!!, and you would be better just rinsing with cold water to close your pores. The only toner I've ever found to work is Clinique.
I'm sure you can get little trial sizes of Cliniques 3 step program for skin. A lot of people will slate me for recommending it, but its the only skin care regime that has ever worked for me and all the products last for aagggesss.
Edited to add: If you go to Cliniques website, they can do a little skin analysis thing for you, to see what is the best products to use. If you say you get spots sometimes, I would say you were a 2 on Clinique, using gel moisturiser instead of lotion.
also edited to add: ! lol I'm on a roll here - I used Simple once because to be honest my skin used to be a nightmare, everything would break me out in spots and it seemed the most 'simple' stuff out there, but on the downside, I found that it just didnt 'clean' my skin properly, and ended up making it more oily/spotty.

I agree with you too. Also, i am using the antiblemish 3step which i have started recently and i have found this very effective.
it can be expensive on initial spend but it is worthy especially because the products last 6-12 months (depending on item) and also if you buy something in bonus time.
Internally, also, at the same time, drink no less than 2 litres of water, and detox your body at least x1 a months, by eating lots of fibres, fresh fruits & veg and not clogging your digestive system with dairy and fats rich foods.

I think you're probably being a bit tough on your skin really, if you're using all of these cleansing products. I tend to just use cleansing wipes and a good moisturiser. I only clean my skin once a day (after work) since I figure it's clean enough in the morning, although of course if I'm in the shower my face gets wet. And I only exfoliate once a month or so....0

I also get confused as to what order to do what. Can I ask where in the routine I would use eye gel? Thanks X0

Your skin is most active at night - time, regenerating and renewing cells etc, so that's why it has to be cleaned in the morning. PLUS, your face has been on your pillow which, although 'clean', will still have dirt on it that will touch your face, plus you may sweat at night etc - so many reasons to clean in the morning! lol..
To use eye gel in a routine is just in the same step as your moisturiser. Put your moisturiser on but no where near your eyes, then apply your eye gel around the eye, and up to the brow line.
