Hair dye horror!

Well not really horror but:o
I used a permanent hair dye a couple of nights ago, I really don't like the colour. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be ok to use a semi permanent colour on top of this so soon afterwards? Also when would I be able to use another permanent dye? Don't want my hair falling out!
Thanks for any responses:T

Try using Head and Shoulders for greasy hair, apparently it is meant to strip hair colour (and everything else)
Perhaps contact your local hairdresser to ask their advice. Some hairdressers will offer a service where they can strip the dye off your hair but I think you're not meant to colour it again for a while after until it settles down.0 -
Hi Bunnie, I have heard that about head and shoulders, I wanted my hair to go a nice deep plum colour but it's more grape iyswim? Do you know how much it would strip?Carpe Diem

Most medicated shampoos should strip the colour. I think you can buy a colour strpping thingy from Boots too. Your hair definately won't fall out if you choose to redye it straight away.Just condition it well.0

you can put a semi straight over the top no problem.
i take it that the colour is too purple based? and you would rather be a deep red? if this is the case a red would tone over the purple to give a deep red.
Semi colours are only give tone and last around 6 washes.0 -
I have used clarifying shampoo to tone down a hair colour.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

Hi all, I washed my hair yesterday and the colour does look better but I think I will go for a semi permanent until I next see my hairdresser. Thanks :TCarpe Diem
