  • Could the OP please let me know where they got the URL with an email entry route? Five don't offer a free route for their text entries (unlike ITV) and the website links to http://fifthgear.five.tv/jsp/5gmain.jsp?mnk=522 not the one you've posted.

I watched the programme and there was definitely no email entry, just the usual expensive £1.50 text.
  • It's a good question. Maybe the email form page is there for all competitions, and the OP just knew to substitute the last 2 with a 9 to get the email form? Maybe they include this email entry link in their newsletter to subscribers (if they have one)?

I've noticed that this alternative entry form link has been mentioned quite a few times on the MSE forums. Perhaps it's just five's dirty little secret? ;)

It is letting you enter for free and its thanking you after submitting.

This is not an email entry its an online entry as your not emailing your details.

The link you have given, seems to be for the same comp but a diff way of entering. Most will choose to enter the free way as opposed to paying

Perhaps it's past my bedtime, but I can't find where to enter other than the expensive phone line or text? I.e., there's no form to fill in on either link.
    Have tried Bloatyhead & OP's links :(
