For anyone seeing their little brother/sister/uncle hogging the Xbox and playing GTA4 come Christmas day, why not remember the good old days?! You can download the originals from...

Nicely modernised so they don't run at lightspeed on a modern PC...

This is a nice freebie of some classic games. remember though folks, these were 18-certificate rated when the first came out, so aren't for the little 'uns (or the squeamish!)

Ah the repost and the cardinal sin of not searching! Apologies everyone! Tempted to go give the old threads a bump to make up for my error! Or create some more havoc in liberty city...happy playing all!0

GTA1 and GTA2 as sold on Steam are a classic example of "shopping around" before you buy: They are $29.99 each., there- compared with the free price from Rockstar's own site, or included in the Steam "GTA collection" (along with San Andreas, Vice City and GTA3) $29.99 the lot.0

Seriously, thanks for this. I'm a huge GTA fan, but can't justify spending £300 (I haven't got) on a Playstation 3 for one game (GTA4).0

Oh the hilarity of a flame thrower equipped fire engine through a bunch of rednecks. And the radio that is a work of comic genius. I might consider GTA4 once it hits the retro mark, say 5 years down the line - perhaps retro gaming is the new way to moneysave!?0

the most hardcore activity in any gta game was stealing a combine harvester in san andreas, driving back into the city, and harvesting gang bangers!0
