Music festival hamper

I have had some brilliant ideas from this site. As you are all so imaginitve I though I'd ask for your help with this one. My teenage son has asked for a weekend ticket to a music festival for Christmas. As it was expensive I won't be getting him much more and had the idea of making up a festival hamper. I've only just found out the tickets won't arrive until after Christmas so I'll need to come up with something else as a physical pressie for that. Apart from that I'm going to put in a book on music festivals, and a headtorch (comes in handy in the dark!). Maybe a couple of energy drinks but apart from that have run out of ideas. Can any of you think of anything else to add? I've never been to a music festival so can't even draw from personal experience!

    Lovely idea by the way!

  • Brilliant!!! You're an angel! ;) I'd never have thought of those things - you're obviously an experienced festival goer! Found a great flag shop on ebay. They have a giant beer glass one that I think he'd appreciate. Think I'll leave him to sort out the condom situation though:D x

  • If he doesn't already have a proper rucksack, I got a cheap 75L one from Amazon for £9.99 which has seen me through 2 Leeds Festivals and 2 T in the Parks, and will be going with me to Glastonbury and Leeds next year so it's well worth investing in one if not (maybe use it as the 'hamper' and put everything in it.

Something else I always do is buy those space saver bags that you use the vaccum to suck the air out of. I always pack each days clothes in there when i'm packing my bag to make more room in my rucksack, it also keeps everything dry and dirty clothes are put back in them after.
