£25.00 debt, Mackenzie Hall

I've just had a very threatening letter from Mackenzie Hall regarding a supposed debt from a moblie phone network provider (Three Mobile) from over 3 years ago. I was pretty sure I had paid this and they do not give any particulars about the debt. Can they really take me to court for this amount? Am I at least entitled to gaining more information?

You can write to them but please be aware that this organisation is well known here - try searching and see what comes up.
They are not going to pursue a £25 debt for very long and it's probably not valid anyway.
I would suggest that any contact merely encourages them.
Howevr, you should check your credit file and you may find that 3 have registered a default. If so you may want to check your payment history and check this with 3 (not MH)0 -
I've just had a letter today from 3, saying they've passed on a "debt" of £21-odd to lowells/Macenzie Hall. It was from a paid-up contract from about three years ago.
To put this into perspective, I've had 2 contracts on the go with 3 for the past..5-6 years, and in their eyes I had such an "excellent credit record" with them, that last year they gave me a £5 a month for life contract
I am certainly going to call 3 about this, but as I've not had anything from Lowells/MH, I'm going to ignore them for now...anyone else in this boat ???
oh, and always paid by dd, so if 3 got it wrong and under-charged me, whose fault is it anyway ???......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
