No17 Eyeliners

I have used No17's black eyeliner for a very loooong time (not the same one but i use up a pencil every couple of months) and i like them as it glides on the eye, smoothly, and is creamy and doesn't hurt the skin - cheap too.
I decided for a change and bought the other three colours: aubergine, emerald and aqua (not tried the brown), and i've noticed that they are all quite hard.., i have to drag it across the lid - it was ok on the hand with the testers. :mad:
when i come to use it i have to warm them up on the radiator or in my hands which is a pain - my black eyeliners are still ok.
should they be doing this ? has anyone else found this so ?
