Celebrate St Andrew's Day at the Zoo and see over 1000 animals in a stately setting. We will be offering free admission on St Andrew's Day * – Sunday November 30, 2008.
As well as outdoor enclosures, there are 11 indoor animal housing areas, so there's plenty to do, whatever the weather.
Admission is also free to the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig, near Kingussie on St Andrew's Day. There are many other special events taking place throughout Scotland. Find out more about this year's St Andrew's Day events.
* Health and safety restrictions advise that there is a maximum visitor capacity at Edinburgh Zoo. If capacity is reached then we reserve the right to suspend admission. We recommend that vistors arrive early to avoid disappointment.
* There will continue to be a charge for car parking facilities at Edinburgh Zoo.0 -

I went to the Castle today, it was busy, but not horrendously so and surprisginly it wasn't that cold since there was no wind.
I also went to the event in Princes Street Gardens where they had lots of activities in an indoor marquee and were handing out lots of free ballons, woollen hats and Scottish flags
