American Express Travellers Cheque Card

Options
I'd be interested to know people's opinions on the American Express Travellers Cheque Card.

It costs £20 to get one (you can get £6 back if you apply through Freefivers) and they give you $75 when you credit $1000 onto it (ditto with euros). So that's not bad. Apart from that you can make ATM withdrawals for £1.50 and use it in stores all over the world. But I would think you're better off with a Nationwide debit card for ATM withdrawals abroad (which will be free) and a Nationwide credit card for shopping abroad (for which you won't have to worry about preloading the card). So the only advantage I can see is the 75 dollars/euros, which may be enough to justify getting it. Anyone have any other thoughts?
