:rudolf: Just got myself a lovely angora & wool jumper from the sales very fluffy...but you guessed it it's sharing it's fluffyness with everthing else in the waredrobe!
Anybody got an idea of how to prevent it doing this? I don't want it covering everything I wear with it and I don't think my OH will be impressed if he gets covered in it too (along with the cat hairs!!!)
A friend of mine once said to wrap the top in a carrier bag and put it in the freezer, but it didn't seem to work.
Any ideas? Or shall I just get my own back on the cats

Try handwashing it in soap flakes or something else suitable, then final rinse in fabric condition and dry flat.
That should deal with the majority of the loose fibres, and make it wearable at least.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

If it still sheds hairs store it in a cheap suitcover, IKEA sell 3 for about £1.50 or use the cover that comes back from the cleaners, not a cure for the hair shedding but it will keep the other clothes from getting hairy..0

You say it's in the wardrobe - you don't hang it, do you? Over time, it will lose its shape and probably take on the shape of the hanger.
All my woollens are folded in tissue paper and then stored inside plastic bags - I keep the bags from mens' shirts for this purpose. This also helps to keep out moths etc. If you don't have a suitable bag, then wrap it again in tissue paper.
The tissue paper in the middle helps prevent any lines from the folding.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Put it in the freezer for a couple of hours.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
