Hi
I would be really grateful for any advice about this from anyone with knowledge in this field.
I'll try to be as brief as I can

Edited to say that for the time being I have things under control.

Just looking over the forums. Would this have been better placed in the debt free forum?
If so how would I get it moved there?

Could someone advice whether it would be a bad idea to stop this DD whilst this is being sorted out.
I have a feeling they will just carry on taking the payments & using delay tatics & then any overpayment or unauthorised payments will be lost.0 -
I would imagine that the £1000+ still outstanding is the interest accrued over the period? UNless you have it in writing that they agreed to a reduced repayment AND to freeze the interest then I would think that interest would still accrue on the outstanding balance.

Thank you for your help.
I would like to see where & when the extra money was added to this debt as it's not been added on these statements in front of me. It's obvious that the money was added somewhere in the early part of the repayment & that's the period that they will not/cannot provide info for.
They did write to say they agreed to reduced payments in 2000 until either the balance was repaid or my situation improved.
It mentioned nowhere that I would be paying any other payments on the balance or any interest rate.
I can see a long drawn out process with them.0
