Taken quote from HDUK
have been back to my friendly local Sainsburys and they had loads of electrical items at knock down prices and yes i asked and was told the following
1. Its nationwide
2. Markdowns on most products have just started in order to get ready for Xmas.
So Sainsburys has become a great hunting ground for HUKD.
Here some samples.
I have rounded off prices to the nearest pound as had no time to write or remember them all -Please understand .
Creative Zen Stone PLUS (with built in speaker) - £18
Navman S50 Sat Nav - £66.66 - See my post below
Sony 1g Walkman MP3 - £14
Creative Zen Stone 2g - £14
Medion 7mp camera - £33
Olympus 7.1 MP Mju (waterproof) camera - £89
+ loads more cameras and MP3 players oh and some TOM TOM SAT NAVS.
Basically its worth another trip to see what there is at your local.
Then for toys , however this may be store by store i saw.
Star Wars 30th anniversary figures £1.50 from £6.99
Science Museum games all approx 75% off
Postman Pat toys 75% or more off
Loads of Kung Fu Panda toys and plush at 75% off or more.
Hope you lot will find this helpful once you go in and see for yourselves -

Mixed reports on the other site.
Only find so far reported;
play doh 20p a single tub
polly pocket garage play set £3.25
polly pocket pool party play set £3.75
science museum skull model £2.50 (were £9.99)
science museum recycling factory £3.75
Science museum small experiment cases £2.50 each (were £9.99)
Bratz tiny tinkelz £2.250 -
Another result from the other site quote;
Harman Karson GPS-300 sat nav £19.99
"Just went round to Sainsburys to see if they had any of the bargain Magellan or TomTom units left. No suprise, they were out of stock but they did have this one available for a bargain £19.99 (Maplin appear to be selling it for £99.98!). As with the Magellan/TomTom deal, I think stocks must be limited and I believe this was the only one they had (Leeds Moortown).
It has a 4" widescreen display, 2GB of onboard flash and claims to have a built-in TMC receiver. The supplied navigation software seems a bit rubbish but the device does run Windows CE so I'm going to spend the afternoon trying to hack it to run TomTom."0 -
Just back from Sainsburys Braehead.(glasgow) Not worth the trip (well ok woth it for the half price caburys chocolate eclairs) but only a couple of toys with 25% off them. No Mp3 player or sat navs. The did have a couple of ipod docking system type thing half price (40 to 20), but they didn't look a particularly great bargain.0

Just got back from talbot village, not worth the trip...I would love to be a Travel Agent :j0

Nothing except a couple of half price toys in Sainsburys at Colton, Leeds. Would have liked some Postman Pat toys but they had none at all and nothing at 75% off.
Did find some lovely reduced autumn/winter baby clothes for baby though, all 50-75% off. So much for this being a money saving forum LOL!0 -
i went to my local (murrayfield, edinburgh) and there wasnt a lot either. i got a couple kung fu panda soft toys £2.50 from £9.99
also got a thomas 3 train set £1.75 reduced from £6.99 i think
a couple wind chime/puppet making things in tubes £1
also got a crayola snail trailers thing for £2.25
i forgot to look at the electricals when i was there!0 -
Quote from other site:
As a Sainsbury's colleague I can confirm these deals are around but you will have to hunt. Some stores manage their stock levels better than others and so when it comes to end of season clearance for a new range some stores will have loads left and others very little. Of course, staff will grab many of the best bargains before customers even get a look.
I will try and find out some stores with the best choice. Happy hunting!
ps. these prices should apply at ALL STORES (NOT branch specific) as pricing is done centrally0
