Dental work, Compensaion?

Hi everyone,

Hope this is the right place, I'm a refugee from the Debt free Wannabees.

A friend of mine has just forked out £600'ish, and had loads of pain, having the tip of a thing that was used to perform a 'root canal filling' when she was much younger, i.e 25 years ago!

It was obviously known by the dentist that this had happened but nothng was said at the time. The Dentist involved is no longer practising, or dead, and we would like to know if their is any sort of Compensation Scheme and if there is a 'Statute of limitations' deal here.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Pepe
