Argos Discount

Is there really no way of getting any kind of discount at Argos?

I wouldn't mind if it was like it used to be and a £10 voucher back for every £100 spend.

Looking to spend £500 but rather it was £450 !!

There is a deal at the moment where you get a £5 voucher for orders over £50 or £10 for orders over £100, but to get £50 off you would need them to be seperate orders I suppose!

one of the items is £350 so no chane there !
  • last night at argos i spent £400 and asked if I could get £40 in vouchers. Was told no. So I made the cashier ring the items up separately. Got £20 worth of tokens which I used on the 3rd transaction plus my nectar points and left with a £10 voucher. Not quite £40 but the best I could do.

    Hi,

Someone told me not long back that Argos dont tend to do discount codes. Every so often they will have the gift vouchers when you spend a certain amount.

Also at the moment they have free delivery on orders of over £150

If anyone has a Lloyds/TSB trustcard they can use their otherwise virtually useless trustcard points to buy Argos vouchers: I think if you can buy £50 worth of Argos vouchers with £45 and some (50?) points, or higher amounts in multiples of 50.
But the money is taken off the credit card which has a high interest rate, so you would need to pay it off as soon as the bill comes in.
