For those who don't know what a 'tassimo' is, its a hot drinks dispenser produced by Braun
Currys are selling them online for the same price (incl. free delivery as per Tesco offer). Do a search for 'Tassimo'
Of course you don't get clubcard points at Currys, but those entitled could get a further 5% off
(Do a search in the vouchers forum for details)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Our Gaggia machine is playing up - but I love the Cappucinos that it produces. Does anyone have any experience of those that the Tassimo produce? My OH is also an espresso connossieur - does the Tassimo make nice espressos with a good crema? Any info would be appreciated. TIA.0

I've just bought one on this offer. There's a code knocking about for an extra 1000 points (£40 Clubcard deals) too, which does make it a very good offer indeed.

We have both Gaggia and Tassimo machines. The Gaggia makes fantastic cappucinos which the Tassimo just cant compete with however we wouldnt be without the Tassimo for Hot Chocolate Tea Expressos and classic coffee. It is just so quick easy and convenient. The Tassimo does not froth milk so makes a useless cappucino which also works out expensive because you only get half the amount of cappucinos to normal coffees in the packs. Buy it for convenience and if you drink a variety of hot drinks.

And don't forget the Tassimo can only use the branded disks as it reads the barcode off them to determine how much water to put into the cup. The disks are about £3.28 for 10 so it can work out an expensive option.0

I bought my Tassimo from Boots too. It's good to watch out for a 'three for two' offer on the Tassimo discs and stock up at that point. I can't say the Cappucino looked impressive the once I've made one, it may just have been me though as it was the first one i tried.
It's certainly very convenient to use, even if it does rumble a bit when it's filling your cup.0 -
