Have a look on Delia Smith's website (free) and look at the suppliers they link up with.

They are the ones she always goes on about in her books and tv programmes as being the best

I can reccomend this butcher, J W Mettricks as I buy their meat reguarly and have event sent their meat as presents.

They are an award winning butchers, with their own abatoir and know the history of all thier meat and well regarded for their lamb.

And being a moneysaving site i have found you a discount code. One of their shops was used as the butchers in the TV series, the league of gentlemen, they do a league of gentlemen hamper and according to the fan site you get a discount if you order that hamper and enter this code, LOGAPOCALYPSE

Their Ham is excellent, in fact it's my favourite part of Christmas ( i get a joint of ham for cold cuts on boxing day)

Glad it was useful, they only went on line this year, originally doing their own lamb, i think they do just about everything on there now. We have several friends and family who 'stock up' when they come to visit.

Have done the very thing myself. It's seems totally weird though, that a little local butcher's shop you've known all your life being on the web! Working on an order for Xmas -

ps - you should mention this plug next time your in - if their online orders have suddenly shot up.. might be a nice bit of steak in it for you!

I've been using them for about 3 years now, and Richard Dean and all his family are very helpful, nice people. The food is fantastic, all organic and the food is delivered all in cold packs. You can even pay by Paypal if you've got some money there. I have a freezer full of their produce at the moment! (and , if you spend over £50 there is 10% off, which automatically deducts at the online checkout)
