Default Completely free blow dry and/or get a haircut and finish for under £3!

Updated 9 September 2008
What's the deal?

It's possible to get both a free blow dry at 50 participating salons across England and Scotland just by making a call or get a free haircut & blow dry by buying a £2.50 magazine.

First... KMS California's free blow dry offer

A promotion is being run by KMS California (the maker of a range of styling products) to give a completely free blow dry to anyone in one of its participating stores on any Wednesday in September...providing you can get an appointment (so go quick!).

The website 30 days of fashion and beauty has details, although unfortunately there are only around 50 locations and they're spread around England and Scotland (sorry to the Welsh and Northern Irish).

To book an appointment, give the 'Blow Me Beautiful' promotion team a call on 01323 413 200 to find your nearest participating hairdresser, or look at the list of salons taking part and call directly. It's as simple as that!

Then.... get a haircut & blowdry for £3

October's Prima magazine comes with a voucher so you'll get a cut and blow dry for less than £3 (£2.50 mag price plus the cost of a stamp) for any over 18s.

To get it, first check there’s a participating salon near you and call The Hair Group (the company running the promotion) on 0844 884 4000 to confirm it's taking part, as annoyingly not all of its salons - only around 50, again only in England and Scotland - are taking part.

If it works for you, buy the October issue of Prima, making sure the mini magazine 'Prima Extra' is attached inside as the voucher is on page two of this supplement. Complete it, then send before the end of the year to:

The Hair Group/Prima, Unit F, Penfold Estate, Imperial Way, Watford, Herts WD24 4YY.

You can only get one free haircut through the Hairgroup per year. So if you've used a similar offer before you won't be eligible for this one.

Due to past MoneySavers experiences of Hair Group promotions, here are some quick tips to be on top:
  • It can take up to 60 days to be contacted (either by the Hair Group or your allocated salon) to make an appointment
  • The salon can be up to 45 minutes journey time away
  • You then need to make an appointment within three months
  • Some salons may require a refundable booking deposit
All things considered though, as a hair cut and blow dry would cost around £30 by itself, it's still worth it for most people.

Many thanks to MoneySavers lorweld and cher_john for both these top spots. This additional post has been inserted on top of the discussion to provide a more detailed explanation.

Smile Prima Magazine Free Haircut

Tried searching for this but could not see so posting. Hope it's not elsewhere!

I bought Prima magazine today and it has a voucher for a free haircut in it. You need to find your local Hairgroup salon either online at www.hairgroup.co.uk although I can not actually see how to find it on there, so I will be calling the number tomorrow given in the magazine 0844 844 4000.

If anybody does know how to find out online where the branches are I'd be interested to know. I must be missing something.

Anway hoping to get a nice free haircut and save some pennies.

Thanks

Hi I just clicked on the link you had posted and then on my county and the participating salons came up in the top right hand corner of the screen.
I hope this helps you. Now all I have to do is go and buy the mag.

Cheers Kat3907

I have used this promotion before, but it says in T&Cs - limited to one per person, and I believe, if you have used the offer before, they do not allow you to take advantage of the same offer in the same year. Ie you can have free haircut once in 2008 and then not again, till offer runs next year.

Not sure about current T&C's, but worth checking before buying magazine specially.

I phoned the salon directly to book mine, and they didn't say anything about having to bring in a voucher

The salon actually had to phone the manager as they didn't know anything about this promotion, when they called back they told me that the manager had said that they were unsure whether it was going ahead as she hadn't seen the voucher in "the magazine".(didn't want to ask which magazine!).
In an earlier post it says something about cosmo, maybe I'll just have a look, otherwise I'll have to cancel.

Have just called KMS customer services, they told me you don't need a voucher, just quote "30 days of fashion".Saves buying a magazine, this really is free!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are 2 separate offers. The first is for a free blowdry, and the 2nd is cut and blowdry (via Prima mag.)

beware. I will not be the only person who has never recieved thier haircut ( depiste numerous efforts/ herbal essences & THE sun & NOTW ) that has NEVER materialised.

First they said that there was no hair group salon near me, ( even tho there was one 10 mins away) then all resolved by text ( we will let you know when one becomes available) and never did. Phone calls, they lost my vouchers- sorry better luck next time. I said I still have the text- werent interested. im in london BTW so happy to travel wherever.

Searching for the hair group on here will show up a lot of disappointed people. In saying that some do get it and it is a great deal IF you get it.

I also have never managed to get one of these offers - spent money on the mag and stamp, posted it off and never heard anything. Have tried the haircut one three times and the manicure one they do sometimes twice and obviously my name is not a nice one lol.

Just would like to know what I'm doing wrong

How would they know ??? You could always use a friends name and address (with their permission!) If you pay cash (for the cut and blow dry promotion) then they would never know would they ?..............
