Laptop less than £350

Options
Looking for the following specs:

- 14" or larger screen
- dual core CPU (not Celeron)
- 160Gb or larger drive
- built-in webcam
- wireless
- at least 1Gb RAM (and easily upgradable if < 2Gb)
- must not have Nvidia graphics

Nice to have:

- Built-in card reader
- Bluetooth

There's a Toshiba L300D-12L (£329 Staples and Argos) which is close but is AMD X2 (dual-core) so may be a bit underpowered.

Anyone spot anything else which may fit the bill?

I eventually went for a Dell Vostro 1510, 15.4" widescreen, dual core pentium, 2Gb RAM, 250Gb HD, wireless, webcam, bluetooth, DVD writer, Vista Home Premium, 1 year next day onsite support. Total £353 plus 5% quidco. This is from the Dell Business store.

The reviews and pictures all imply it has a card reader built in but its not listed in the specs.

For this model there is currently £50 off plus free delivery and a 10% code which expires today so get in quick if you;re interested! Incidentally the 'base' model without webcam or bluetooth was only £316 (plus quidco) which is a great price for this spec.

    The code is:

    10% off All vostro notebooks
    GLTV1QH8DCMLWF

    (found on hotdeasuk).

I have ordered two of these, for my twin daughters' 18th birthdays, on your say-so. (No pressure. :D)

I got the 10% off, though no £50 off (I went for the basic model).

I also went via Quidco, though it's highly doubtful that we'll get the 5%. If you use any kind of money-off voucher, that tends to override any Quidco cashback. I live in hope, though!

Hope this worked out for you - my Quidco has been tracked and validated at £15.03 so mine will net at £338. My son is really pleased with the laptop which arrived in less than a week despite Dell stating there was an extended delivery time.

I think so. £17.91 validated through Quidco. Laptops seem fine.

Thanks once again for the tip.
