Dell LCD TV offers! (merged)

Dell W1900 19" (48cm) LCD TV - £314 (including VAT & Delivery)

Not long ago this was twice the price. I don't know whether it's a mistake but it seems terribly cheap - especially for the specs:

19" LCD Widescreen TV
HDTV Ready
1280 x 768 resolution
600:1 contrast ratio
450 cd/m2 brightness
25ms (typical)
14-watt stereo speakers

Other details can be found on the website here:

If I hadn't just bought an LCD TV myself, I think I would have grabbed one of these.

I have no reviews for it though.

EDIT: Updated link.

Strange. I truncated the last bit but I checked to make sure it worked. Try now:

    Still £314.

The 26 inch one at £515 isnt bad either

I'd rather have a new one for £15 more rather than a refurbed
  • These really aren't very good TVs - you can get an equivalent Sony or Panasonic for the same price and it'll outperform the Dell by miles...

    Can you justify your comment?

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

When I was looking for a 'portable TV', I looked at both Sony and Panasonic but couldn't find a similar spec'd one for ~£314 delivered. Could you provide a link (or links) to the TV's you're referring to (including prices). This would be helpful to other people as well. Thanks Chris!

Now I think this is a very good price considering I paid a grand for this TV in Feb. Im looking out for another ones and this has bar far been the best I found. You can get LCDs for around £600-700 quid at places like Richer Sounds but the quality and spec of the kit doesnt compare to this. This is top end stuff. Ive looked instore and the i.e. £700 Philips LCD screens ive looked at arent anywhere near as feature packed as this, they also look lower build quality compared to the Dell, I mean they dont even swivel on the stand. This is a great bit of kit, has had some rave reviews and is HD ready. Ive lost count of how many features and connections etc it has, you can hook it upto virtually anything, and even stick in a emory card reader if you want, so you can show off your holiday snaps on the TV.

My two personal favourite featues where that it has twin tuners, so you can watch the footy and corrie at once (but also handy if youve hooked it upto say a PC, or CCTV system.) and the remote lights up in a funky blue when you press the buttons, corny but looks cool in the darK! Actually the whole design of this TV is pretty nifty.:)

Now Id call it a grabbit at this price because its a high end quality Branded LCD screen for around £500 the comparable other TV's Ive looked at are normally around the £1k mark.

You can also save even more if you use a cashback site. :money:
  • just bought the 19" one, less than £314 delivered is a great price for a HD ready TV. Just hope the universal wall bracket I already have connects to it fine :)

    Thanks again for this post
