Unlike older bottlings launched by other whisky makers, which are often limited editions, Highland Park’s 40 year old will be a permanent fixture in their whisky line-up, retailing at £899.
The key artisan design elements of the Highland Park brand are clearly apparent in this bottle. The liquid, with notes of sweet toffee, dark chocolate and hallmark heather peat smokiness is held in a bespoke, decanter styled, glass bottle with handcrafted ‘H’ amulette in pewter that reflects Highland Park’s Viking heritage. The bottle is presented in a solid, oak stained wooden box; finished to cabinet quality, complete with hand-produced leather bound 28 page booklet, filled with details on the 40 years old single malt.
