Use your prescription at Boots to get Number 7 vouchers

This is a rather specific money saving idea but hopefully it will help someone.
I regually get repeat prescriptions from my doctor for a health issue. Most of the items are prescription drugs but I also have non-drug items to monitor my health too. The prescription for these gives me too boxes of these items whose cost without an NHS presciption is £26.
Today, I needed this prescriptions item before going on holiday and had forgotten to get a prescription for them. I went to Boots to see if I could buy one box and reclaim the money later when I had a prescription for them - they say that was no problem.
I paid the £26 and took the product and the receipt for reimbursment later on. Because I had paid them £20 I was also given two £5 vouchers, one for Boots Number 7 products and one that can be used for facial skincare products (L'Oreal, Olay and a few others) - there were specific products that the voucher was good for.
So - for lending Boots £26 for something I needed anyway and I knew for certain I would get the money back for, I got another £10.
So - if you get prescriptions you may be able to play the game with the chance for something extra.

the vouchers are given out if you spend a minimum of £5 - i spent £6 (on No17 and got an eye shadow free!) and got both vouchers.
You would need to spend a minimum of £5 each time to be able to use the vouchers (or spend more depending on purchase in the range allowed) - its very good if you especially use the stuff listed.
i don't use the stuff listed so i think i would have been better off doing two N17 transactions and getting 2 free eyeshadows?!0
