When Angela Lipsky's husband has a mid-life crisis and a mid-European affair, she finds herself adrift in a sea of shifty solicitors, a disapproving mother, a series of helpline counsellors and Christmas all on her own. The tale unfolds at the Opera House on Tuesday 2nd Septemeber. Bizarre dates, suspect purchases, a near reconciliation with the ex, then a singles 'away weekend' in the Welsh Hills brings about a surprise meeting and maybe some hope.
This achingly funny and heart-wrenchingly poignant play was nominated for 'Best Entertainment' at the Oliviers in 2004 after playing a sell-out season in the West End.
Thanks to our good friends at the Opera House we have three pairs of tickets to give away for Tuesday 2nd September! Get entering now - just answer the easy question to the right... Good luck!
Tickets cannot be exchanged to another performance or production. Extra tickets are not permitted , but can be purchased at the usual outlets or at the box office. Seating is best available at the time of competition setting , and seatng cannot be changed pre show date or on the night. The press office cannot be held responsible for winners arriving at the wrong venue, date or time. Replacement tickets will not be offered and correspondance either or written or by phone will not be entered into with winners. This competition closes on 28 August 2008. Not Suitable for children under 16.
