Hello :hello:
I am after some Genuine Ugg Australia boots (tall chesnut UK size 8). After spending a good 2 hours last night reading a very small portion of the following thread...
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=532039&highlight=uggs
...I became more confused than before. I am after the Ugg Australia brand made by Deckers. I know that there are other Ugg boots out there (Snugg, Emu etc) but it is the Deckers Ugg Australia that I want, and these rrp in the UK at £170.
After looking at the sites recommended in the above thread, it appears that over the last year, Deckers have banned Australian (and others I assume)websites from shipping overseas in order to protect their authorised sellers in the other countries.
There are loads of Uggs on Ebay but it's knowing the right seller who isn't going to sell you fakes.
So.....does anyone know where I can buy them at less than the rrp. I have found a UK site where I can get them for £153, but ideally I would like to pay around the £100 mark. And advice would be greatly received.
Many thanks

If you can wait a couple of weeks I know ASOS sell genuine UGG boots and between the 1st - 7th September you can use 'ASOSGLAMOUR' at checkout to get 20% off.0

Must you have Ugg boots?
You can get Emu stingers for about £30 in www.blackleaf.com sale. And there is a 15% discount voucher you can use to help towards postage costs "love summer" without the quotation marks!
There's also quidco if you do that!0 -
Thanks for the replies
Sherbie, many thanks for the Asos heads up. The boots I want are £170 on that site so 20% off would bring it down to £136
Sal, yes I must have the Uggs I'm afraidI have ummed and ahhed for nearly 2 years now and I want the real thing that will hopefully last me some time. I bought the grey cardie ones in New York in January this year and I love them. Now I reeeeeally want the original ones and OH has said he will get them for my birthday as long as we can find them as cheap as possible.

Have just ordered some tall chesnut classiscs from footnotes.com as suggested by a poster on another thread. They allowed me to ship the Uggs internationally, so hopefully the order should go through ok.
The boots are $160 and I had a quick peep in the sale section and they had the Ugg flip flops for $15!!!!!! So $175 in total, add on shipping costs, change currency and they came to about £120 total.
I'll have to wait and see if I get a customs charge though. Ordered standard shipping so hopefully I won't get the charge so we'll see. Definitely happy that I got the flip flops too, as normally they're around £40.0 -
go on ebay, first check the sellers feedback then see if they are selling more than one pair, if they are selling them in bulk they're more likely to be fake.0

All I can say is you really have to know how to spot a fake. I was in Cheshire Oaks (designer outlet village) earlier this year and they were selling fakes and they didn't know it!
I bought mine from here last year, genuine ones. I did end up having to pay import fees about a month after delivery but all in all I got a pair of tall chestnut uggs and the shoecare kit for £100.
The link to where I bought them from is below, wish i'd bought the chocolate ones rather than the chestnut as they don't show marks as much.
Here's a link http://www.taylorshoes.com/p-481-ultra-tall.aspx?Color=chocolate
It doesn't matter what type of shoecare kit you buy, just make sure you get some waterproof spray on them before you step outdoors. I wear mine loads, I walk the dog for 1.5m every day and no matter what the weather is like, my feet are toasty warm.0 -

just wondering if you can remember how much you had to pay for the customs duty and import tax. Im trying to buy a pair from america and i know the shipping charge but just like a rough idea on the taxes.
many thanks0 -
It was around £25 from the States x0

there was another thread about this last year when i wanted to buy some uggs - eventually i got mine from konasports.com, (and despite some very rude comments from some users on here that thought they were ugg gods they were real - the users on here seemed to think i was something to do with the website when all i wanted to do was to share my good experience and help someone get some genuine and cheaper uggs!)
i got sent two pairs due to something that i did during checkouts but only paid for one pairs so ended up with a bogoff deal LOL, sold one pair on ebay and made more than my money back on them, but also managed to find an online discount which gave me 15% off and i think i ended up paying around 65 pounds for the boots! they are fab, def genuine if you know what you are looking for and will be continuing to use them for years to come.
konasports.com sent me an email last week to tell me they had stock - am very tempted to get a long pair this time - the last ones were the short ones.
hope you manage to get a wicked deal0 -
oh, and forgot to say that i didnt get stung for customs charges either! if i remember rightly they marked them as samples - one of my best buys online0
