Family tickets and prizes are up for grabs as Weyfest 2008 gets closer.
Head down to the 10-acre grounds at The Rural Life Centre, Tilford, near Farnham, to experience a weekend jam-packed with talented musicians and festival fun, on Saturday and Sunday, September 6 and 7. Weyfest has doubled its line-up for this year’s event, with more than 60 bands performing across its three stages over the weekend. With such an impressive programme of old timers, new bands and an abundance of local talent to be enjoyed, the weekend is guaranteed to provide something for every festival-goer.The two outdoor stages, the Village Green and the Old Kiln, will see big names from folk and blues, alongside favourites like Chas ‘n’ Dave.The dynamic and energetic John Otway is not to be missed, and neither are Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, who will be performing a medley that covers a 12-album career.
