Cheapest Broadband/Phone/TV

I am moving to a new flat on Thursday and I'm looking to try and get the best deal possible for net/phone/tv. I am with Virgin at the moment, which is costing me £31 (plus £5 for not paying by direct debit but I will be setting this up soon), I have 2meg broadband, free calls to landline numbers at all times and their medium TV package.

They have said if I went down to their basic TV package (which is free with the rest) then I would be down to £21 per month BUT I would also like to be able to get faster broadband if possible, I'm going to be going wireless soon too and with Virgin if I went up to the next level, I'd be at 10meg broadband and would get the free wireless router too. This was adding on an extra £7 a month.

Basicly, what I'm wondering what's the best deal for TV (not too fussed about this but wouldn't mind some extra channels if I can get them), broadband and phone that I could get from other companies? I'm getting so confused looking on websites.

Thanks for any help :)

It depends if you would be able to get sky in the flat and ife your allowed to install a dish, or you can get this http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/product.do?id=15157 for £16 but the phone is only free at weekends, do you not have a contract mobile which has free minutes on it

I was in touch with Sky a couple of weeks back and they said that it'd cost an extra £17 or something for my broadband... they confused me too :p

Oh the £16 a month is Virgin? Funny how I didn't get offered that deal from them isn't it. Virgin make me mad!

The best deals are always for new3 customers. They seem to think that if existing customers are paying the higher price then they will continue to pay it.

Try ringing them and asking for their best deal. When they give it tell them you have been offered a £16 deal from Sky and will be taking that and see if they match it.
  • I am with Virgin and was paying over £30 for tv/ phone and broadband - one quick phone call and now I am paying £21 - I think this is a bargain as line rental alone is £11. - This also gives me free landline calls anytime and mobile discounted rates. I have to say this is the first time Virgin has been this good to me, I've been with them for ages and have previously had problems with charges but I can't fault this deal (fingers crossed).
Give them a ring - ask to speak to someone who can adjust the pricing on your bill.
