Rum and raisin ice cream might be run of the mill today, but it was once merely a twinkle in an ice cream maker's eye.
Minghella's in the Isle of Wight, renowned for its creative ice cream flavour combinations, offers a 'design your own' ice cream option for customers. Far from being a gimmick, their Gin & Pink Grapefruit ice cream (originally a bespoke order request for a party) went on to win Best British Speciality Food 2006.
Think you could do better? Tell us at 4Food your dream ice cream flavour and you could win a supply of your wickedly delicious concoction from Minghella's.
We're looking for a flavour combination that's:
with the subject line: Ice cream competition.
You must include the subject line in order for your entry to be valid
The winning flavour will be announced on 4Food and the winner sent 7 x 500ml tubs of their winning flava by Minghella's. Judgement will be made by a panel of judges from Minghella's in conjunction with 4Food.
Please note that the winner will have 7 days to respond to notification they have won otherwise an alternative winner may be selected.
All entries containing alcohol will only be eligible to win if the entrant is over 18 and can provide proof of age.
The closing date for this competition is 23:59 on 24th August 2008
The winner will be announced within three weeks of the competition closing date.
Open to UK residents only. The prize will be delivered to any address within the UK.
Good Luck
