Scotland’s newest luxury castle hotel has opened its doors and The List readers have a chance to win a two night stay with dinner and breakfast in one of its sumptuous rooms.
Glenskirlie House and Castle in the heart of central Scotland is the first new castle hotel to be built in the country in the 21st century. With its 15 individually themed bedrooms and suites and situated amid lush, peaceful gardens in the village of Banknock in Stirlingshire, Glenskirlie is owned and run by the Macaloney family.
The Castle’s suites feature four poster beds, turreted bathrooms with sunkenbaths, separate dressing rooms and walk-in wardrobes, lounge and dining areas.The Castle’s new grill restaurant offers relaxed and informal dining. Guests may also choose to dine in the more formal and award-winning House restaurant.
Glenskirlie is easily accessible from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling and also serves as an ideal base for short-breaks with many tourist attractions nearby.
Terms & conditions
Competition closes 6 Aug 2008. Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
The midweek (Sun – Wed) overnight stay to be taken by end of September 2008. Dinner consists of three
courses from table d'hote menu with bottle of house wine. Offer is subject to availability. Usual List rules apply.
