Fancy spending the weekend in the magical rolling hills of Inveraray whilst sampling some of the finest, eclectic and hippest indie music around? YOU DO???!? Ok well you’ll be excited to know that Glasswerk has got together with those delightful darlings behind Hydro Connect and we now have 2 pairs of weekend camping tickets to give away for said festival, which takes place in the grounds of Inveraray Castle in Argyll from Friday 29th – Sunday 31st August.

Having teamed up with Scottish Hydro Electric, The UK’s leading producer of cleaner, greener renewable energy, Hydro Connect has found ‘a match made in green festival heaven – so you can have fun in the knowledge the faeries aren’t getting kicked out of their trees’.

The glistening Loch Fyne and haunting Castle make the perfect backdrop to experience the sounds of Grinderman, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Manic Street Prechers, Sparks, Bloc Party, The Breeders, Camera Obscura, Howling Bells and Goldfrapp.

As proved in their 1st year in 2007, Hydro Connect offers a range of alternative entertainment in the form of burlesque night Club Noir and swing club Vegas! As well as a bit of luxury at The Rest and be Thankful Spa, The Speakeasy Caf! – a space where coffee and conversation, acoustic performances, storytelling and a bit of comedy will be the order of the day. In the Circuses and Bread Field you can enjoy delicious local food including world famous Loch Fyne Oysters and venison burgers, Fyne Ales and sample an array of drams from the Whisky Bar or relax in the Champagne Bar.
