100 Word Short Story Competition

what matters to you?
Are you a great writer in the making? Or do you just want your voice to be heard?
Paper Cuts is a competition from ChildLine that gives you the chance to be published in a Penguin book. You’ll also have your writing recorded by a celebrity and hosted on the Spinebreakers website.
What matters to you matters to ChildLine too. So we’d like you to write 100 words or less about just that. You can write about any topic in any style – stories, lyrics, poems, screenplays, a stream of consciousness or anything else. Just as long as it’s something you really care about.
All of your entries will be read by our panel of Paper Cuts judges, made up of ChildLine and Spinebreakers representatives, a Penguin publisher and one of their authors. Once they have shortlisted their 100 favourites, your Paper Cuts will be posted on this site and put to the vote of other Spinebreakers.
The winners will be announced on October 6, 2008.
