US garage punk trio met in Seattle before moving to LA, where they slept three to a single room whilst writing and continuing to play, refining and producing the sound that they have now recorded for this excellent eponymous debut album. The Blakes recently made their first trip to Europe when they released a 7” single Two Times and played several shows. They supported Reverend & The Makers at an NME Awards show in London and toured France with Gossip and The Kills, and are due back soon for several festival appearances. Their rousing and energetic brand of indie rock is well represented by the impressive bunch of songs on their new album. You could a copy of either the single or the exciting new Blakes album by answering the following question:
