Matalan 75% off sale starts Friday 1 Aug!

in It's gone, but was it any good?
Hi, was in my local Matalan at Glenrothes today and the sale assistant told me that the 75%off is starting on Friday. Staff were getting the stock identified ready for it!

Hope this helps someone get there early to catch some bargains!:T

Great heads up! On Friday 1 August, Matalan's slashing 75% off the original price of most of its sale goods with 1,000s of bits knocked down to £2 or less. The majority of Matalan stores will be taking part, with the clearance sale on-going until stock runs out.

    Would this be the stuff that is already half price? Or is it other stock that will be 75% off?

    Hi, the sales assistants were working in each department and were going through the sale stock that is currently 50%. They had huge lists to work through and were getting frustrated as there was so much! The stock seemed to be at the back of each dept, and includes a lot of the household stuff going to 75% off too.

    Thanks a million for this - was planning to paint the bathroom on Friday - might just have to put it on hold now! :D

    Could do with some things I don't need and won't use!

    *makes mental note to TRY clothes on BEFORE buying to prevent usual habit of stuffing in back of wardrobe* :rotfl: :beer:

    Does anyone know what time the sale will start? I've had a look on the website http://www.matalan.co.uk/pages/information/stores but it doesn't give details of opening times.

    Or any ladies shirt dresses (they were instore previously for approx £15 (black and taupe/beige colour), would these go down to £4ish in 75% Sale ? Hope so :D

    There were some suits in the sale, not sure if washable or not. Unfortunately standard sizes like 34 waist 32 leg had all gone in our store. My DH bought a full price suit in the end but still a bargain at £65!

    The end of summer Matalan sale is usually amazing...

    I got lots of dressy t shirts, jumpers and a couple of suits all for less than £50 around the same time last year.

    And yes it's 75% off ON TOP of what the price is.

    Sickener too - my friend works there and even gets discount ON TOP of that.

    So about a quid for jeans and tshirts then :beer:
